as the day’s sun settles and dusk brings upon night, one disheartened stargazer decides to join the nightfall. whenever she would feel lost or hopeless, she would put every little shred of hope she had left to search for the stars.
however, this night was different. one, the dark was burdensome. darkness and only it could be seen. two, no stars could be spotted. she waited for something, anything. time was easily passing and dawn was ready to come. she felt as though the universe hated her especially today. the stargazer was ready to depart from where she sat until she saw what she’s been waiting for all along.
one dazzling star, twinkling through the sky, as if it was saying, “i’m here! i’m here. no need to rush.” she felt as though all that darkness that has been building up inside of her has now been lifted off of her shoulders. just as after the neverending dusk, a hopeful dawn will appear.
in a split second, sunbursts truced into the clouds, and new day has come for everyone to start anew.
the stargazer promised to see the tiny star again. for although she doesn’t know why this star seemingly appeared itself to her and how it has come to be there, she knew she’d be with that star for a very long time.
